Once a woman is independent, chances of her ending up alone gets higher. Men are afraid of independent women because of societal norms that have been propagated throughout history. Men have been the heads of households in the world for most of recorded history, and societies have been established to benefit men. Women who are strong and independent do not need a man to run their lives or manage the household. Women’s standards have increased so much over the past few decades that men have been completely stricken by the strong women they meet.

1. They Don’t Need A man.

Independent women don’t need a man to provide for them, and men are used to being needed as providers. When they meet a woman who put herself through college, makes her own money, pays her own bills, and smashes her own random apartment spiders, they sometimes take it the wrong way and feel emasculated.

2. They Already Have Full Lives.

Independent women don’t sit around twiddling their thumbs and waiting for a man to call and make plans for that night. They have careers, side jobs, hobbies, and girls’ night already on their calendars. Even if our plan is just to order a pizza and watch Netflix, it’s going to be the best night ever.

3. They Expect Intelligent Conversation.

Independent women read, watch the news, and pay attention to current events. If you have no meaningful contribution to the conversation at hand, or you constantly attempt to change the topic to sex, you will lose all credibility as well as any chance you ever had. If you ever want to impress them, you must stimulate her mind first.

4. They’re Experts At Getting Themselves Off.

Independent women tend to end up single a lot, and it’s usually by choice. Therefore, they become masturbation experts. If you’re lucky enough to get into their bed and not only fail to get them off but don’t even try to find their magic buttons, don’t plan on ever seeing them again.

5. They Already Have Long Term Plans For Their Lives.

Independent women tend to plan out each stage of life meticulously, and this plan is amenable to having a partner or not. Therefore, it’s up to you to pass the audition if you want to be a part of her plan. If she sees you as a detractor or hindrance to her life goals, you’re going to be sidelined quickly. No independent woman has time for that.

6. They Are Confident.

Even if they don’t have perfect bodies and flawless skin, they carry themselves with pride and that naturally attracts attention. When you whistle at the confident woman walking down the street, she does hear you, but she shrugs it off because she already knows how awesome she is. If you really want our attention, you’ll have to try harder.

7. They Have Options.

Independent women have options. They have friends from high school or college that keep in touch on social media, guys they met at the bar or sushi night, and of course old flames who realize exactly what they’ve lost. Plus, they get attention basically every time we go out.

8. They Really Don’t Need Approval.

Independent women own everything that they are, and that’s rare to find in a world that tends to obsess over the opinions of others. If you don’t approve of their hairstyle, outfit, lunch choice or general outlook on life, they don’t care about your opinion and will do whatever they please.

9. They Have Male Friends And Standards.

Women who are strong and independent have male friends who have raised the bar for any man she might date. A woman does not need a man who cannot treat her at least as well as her male friends or her brothers. Women whose best friends are men often compare their relationships to their friendships, and anyone who is not a true gentlemen is not worth the time a woman must put into the relationship.

10. They Won’t Babysit You.

Women have been expected to babysit their boyfriends and husbands throughout the centuries, but the modern woman will not babysit a man she dates. Men must be able to manage their own lives without help from their girlfriends, and a woman who must manage your life will drop you in a heartbeat. You must get yourself out of a misogynistic mindset before you approach a strong and independent woman.
