3 Research Assistants Wanted At Botswana Harvard AIDS Institute
Botswana Harvard AIDS institute Partnership is looking for 3 research assistants to join their exciting work force. The posts are tenable in Selibe Phikwe, Francistown and Gaborone.
Main Duties.
The incumbent will report to the Study Coordinator and will assist in identifying and carrying out screening of potential study participants.
Responsibilities
β’ She/he should be part of the development and implementation of a community education plan to inform relevant stake holders about the study.
β’ Working in the hospital and Clinics in the study catchment area to identify potential participants to be screened for study protocols.
β’ Collecting blood specimen as per the relevant guidelines.
β’ Completing paperwork related to specimen transport, and transporting study-related specimens to the laboratory as per the Standard Operating Procedures.
β’ Keeping a log/ inventory of all potential study participants who need to be followed at a later date.
β’ Working with the entire clinical and recruitment team on site to ensure that retention targets are met.
β’ Contact participants prior to their scheduled appointments to ensure adherence to the visit schedules and where necessary making physical visits to participants.
β’ Assisting in any other duties as may be assigned by the Study Physician, Head Research Nurse, PI or Study Coordinator.
β’ Maintains participant’s confidentiality at all times.
Requirements
β’ Form 5/BGCSE/O’level
β’ Two (2) years’ experience in clinical research support.
β’ The incumbent must also have professional experience in counselling.
β’ Computer literacy is required.
