All Hail Man Of The Moment Isaac Makwala
He is currently on everyone’s lips, not just in Botswana but across the world, his hardwork and determination just changed hos whole life.
Makwala did extremely well at the World Championships and before the competition come to an end, before his performance a lot of people are showing appreciation of his handwork and lots of ‘incentives’ are awaiting him in his motherland.
President Khama has announced that Makwala will get a lil something when he gets back. He hailed the tremendous determination and spirit that was displayed by Isaac Makwala in the face of his “unfair” barring by the IAAF from running in the 400m final and 200m qualifier this week. In this context the President informed the meeting that it had been decided to reward Makwala with the P 100,000 gold medal incentive that he would have otherwise otherwise been entitled to if he had won the race.
The President also thanked both domestic and international media, responsible officials and members of public in Botswana and around the world for their support, which had been partially rewarded with last night’s special run.
The President also announced that a special day will be scheduled in the near future to honour Makwala.
A classy entertainment spot in My Kind Of Place(MKOP) has also announced that they will throw Makwala an arrival party worth P5000 whether or not he brings home a gold medal.
Makwala was disqualified from his race on Tuesday for allegedly Β having a highly infectious virus, a lot of controversy sorrounded the incident and he was finally allowed to run by himself in order to qualify for Β the semi finals which he did by finishing at 20:20 seconds beating the 20:53 that was set for him by 0.33 seconds.
