Batswana Welcome Their Team Back From Rio
Team Botswana was welcomed today by multitudesΒ in a convoy that led down the western bypass to Game City Round about and then lead to UB New Sports Centre where The Minister of Youth Sports and Culture Hon Thapelo Olopeng welcomed them officially.
Nike was impressed by Botswana teenagers at the Olympics that they even penned a contract with them- that is Baboloki Thebe and Karabo Sibanda.The duo will wear Nike when competing as part of the deal. The deal also comes with financial rewards for the young stars.
Although we got no medal,our team represented us well and they improved on their personal records. We adamant that the next time,we will do so much better. Well done team Botswana, better luck next time.
