Botswana Interested In Bidding To Host The AFCON Under-17
Botswana will bid to host the 2020 Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations.Β Botswana Football Association (BFA) chief executive officer, Mfolo Mfolo said they will bid for the junior tournament.
Since he took office in 2016, BFA president, Maclean Letshwiti has focused on youth development, arguing it is key to turning around the fortunes of the national team.
Addressing a monthly press briefing at Lekidi Centre today, Mfolo said it imperative that the country hosts the tournament, in order to gauge progress made under the Under-15 Elite Youth League.
BFA has introduced a nationwide elite youth league program where top talent will make it to the junior national side.
