Issues of sexual orientation in Botswana are not the kind that can be discussed in a public platform. We have celebrities who have not come out to declare their sexuality, but the way they present themselves speaks volumes. Shanti Lois one artist who give beautiful well groomedΒ ladies a run for their money. If you did not know any better you will think Shanti is one of the girls. Some people refer to him as a man, whereas others are convinced he is a woman.
One brave fan broke the ice on the matter when he posted this question on Shanti’s Facebook timeline, “Do you prefer being referred to as Mr or Miss? We got confused and a discussion erupted among your fans yesterday while we were appreciating your music. Ga se ka lepe hela.”
One outstanding thing about this star is his maturity and graciousness when it comes to controversial issues. His answer to the question was balanced and well thought of. “Sure! Noted. Actually, whichever comes to you more naturally as the individual would be much appreciated. Neither one really bothers me. Thank you for the concern. It makes me more at ease to impart and/or share. Good day!” He said in reply.
