Chico Dance Nare Leaves Orapa United

Orapa United have parted ways with their Assistant Coach, Daniel Chico Nare, was recently suspended on allegations of misconduct after he allegedly used muti in the club’s Mascom Top 8 final when his side lost 4-2 to Township Rollers.Β Nare joined Orapa last year November as an interim Head Coach before the arrival of Zimbabwean gaffer, Bongani Mafu, last month.

Β Orapa Chairman, Kennekae Nkape, confirmed that they parted ways with Nare amicably but would not be drawn into confirming or denying if the fallout was a result of recent allegations of misconduct by the Assistant Coach.

He was also said to have turned up late for the final clash, an incident which allegedly disrupted the team’s preparations and cut their warm-up short.

Management are said to have felt that Nare’s behaviour contributed to their Top 8 final loss, as they believe his actions distracted the players and made them lose focus.

Management indicated that they had long warned Nare to desist from using muti.

They indicated that they did not want his beliefs to cloud their games and that they had been clear about it, yet he was not willing to change.
