Migos “Culture II” Help Them Break Their Own Billboard Chart Record

Migos‘ are the hottest group on the planet right now but if you ask them, they’ll say they’re the biggest group ever. While many have tried to argue the claim, their achievements back it up, especially on the charts. Upon its release,ย Culture IIdebuted at number one on the Billboard 200 which marks their second consecutive number one debut. They continue to make major marks with their latest album which has now helped them beat their own record on the Hot R&B and Hip Hop charts.

Billboardย reports that fifteen songs off ofย Culture IIย have simultaneously charted on the R&B and Hip Hop charts.ย This marks a new record for most simultaneous records on the Hot R&B and Hip Hop charts by a group or duo which they previously held withย Culture. 12 tracks off that album made their way onto the chart in February 2017. Clearly, they still have the hype they’ve built all of last year hasn’t died down one bit.

Last week, the group hit another mark on the Billboard Hot 100 as theyย tied The Beatlesย for most simultaneous entries on the charts among groups. They became the first group in 50 years to hit the mark. The group had fourteen songs as the time hit the Hot 100. Itย made them the only other group aside from the Beatles to have more than nine songs on the chart.

In addition to making their own mark on the Billboard charts, they also helpedย Drakeย hit hisย 70thย Top 40 single on the Hot 100 with “Walk It Talk It.” Suffice to say that Migomania is in full effect.
