The Nation Fumes As Somizi Is Paid Close To 500K For BOT50
This is clearly the mother of all shames this year. South African entertainer and choreographer Somizi Mhlongo has reportedly pocketed close to half a million for his BOT50 gig. To say no one is not impressed is an understatement. Local artists are not impressed also as a foreign artists pockets that amountΒ for teaching Batswana dancers the moves.
“Bots50 celebrations are not really for Batswana. Botswana is just a venue and Batswana will be spectators. These celebrations mean a lot to Somizi than citizens,” commented one disgruntled Motswana.
