Vacancies- Part-time Trainers And Assessors Wanted At BOCODOL
The Botswana College of Distance and Open Learning (BOCODOL) which is soon be an Open University requires qualified and
duty-conscious persons to join the College as part-time Trainers and Assessors for Certificate in Vocational Education and Training
programme.
1. Trainers
Main Purpose of the Job
Prepare training materials and deliver the programme according
to the set standards of the College. Provide guidance and
supervision to the learners throughout their continuous
assessment. Produce an evaluation report for the College at the
end of the programme.
Requirements:
Applicants should possess the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelors degree in Education, BA Humanities plus Post
Graduate Diploma in Education.
2. At least three years post qualification experience in Training
3. A Masterβs Degree will be an added advantage.
4. Experience in working in an educational environment.
5. Trainers must be accredited by BQA
Responsibilities
1. Prepare and deliver training in accordance with departmental
quality standards and guidelines.
2. Respond to course related queries raised by learners through
different means of communication.
3. Set, mark and provide a detailed feedback to learners
continuous assessment.
4. Supervise and guide learners in the portfolio as necessary.
5. Keep records of learner attendance, learner progress, and any
other relevant records.
6. Provide all the necessary guidance and counselling to learners.
7. Produces a trainer report with recommendations for
improvement.
2. Assessors
Main Purpose of the Job
Develop assessment instruments that are valid and reliable.
Assess candidates according to the set standards of the College.
Guide candidates and provide feedback on assessment. Keep
records of assessment and provide a detailed report at the endΒ of the programme.
Requirements:
Applicants should possess the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelors degree in Education, BA Humanities plus Post
Graduate Diploma in Education.

assessment.

Responsibilities:
1. Ensures that assessment tasks are at a suitable level.
2. Prepares assessment instruments that are valid and reliable.
3. Provide assessment decisions that are objective, fair and
consistent.
4. Keep assessment records that are accurate and complete.
5. Produces an assessor report with recommendations for
improvement.
