Diamond Trading Company Botswana β Diamond Handler (2 Positions)
Diamond Trading Company Botswana is a 50/50 joint Venture partnership between the Government of Botswana and De Beers. It and most so De Beers is the largest sophisticated rough diamondΒ sorting and valuing operation in the world. It sorts and values Debswana Diamond Companyβs rough diamond production and subsequently sells these diamonds to Okavango Diamond Company and De Beers.
The following exciting opportunity exists for you to be part of DTC Botswana:
DIAMOND HANDLER (2 POSITIONS)
Main purpose of the job
To perform a range of diamond handling and product valuing activities to agreed standards and deadlines in accordance with organisational systems, departmental and functional procedures and guidelines and to ensure security and integrity of the product.
Key Performance Areas:
1. Diamond Handling
2. Compliance to policies and procedures
3.Track Diamond handling and team efficiency.
4 Continuous improvement
Education: A minimum of a Diploma qualification.
Experience:
β’ Two monthβs training as Sorter Trainee and four months as Pipeline Trainee, three
β’ (3 months) probation at Diamond Handler Level.
