ACCOUNTS OFFICER – NAFTEC INVESTMENTS
Main Purpose of the Job
To accurately process, enter and reconcile accounting documents, information and maintain accounts strictly in accordance with laid down accounting procedures, standards and accounting schedules to ensure an accurate and timely record of financial transactions to facilitate the timely preparation of financial statements and reports
Job Description
Must prioritize expenditures in order to allow for smooth allocation of resources
Should ensure proper records management systems for capturing into the accounting system and future reference for audit purpose
Ensure all legitimate employees are paid their salaries monthly and that taxes are calculated accordingly
Ensure that all tax returns, whether done monthly or annually, should be done on tome: as per BURS rules and regulations
Must always check availability of funds prior to making payments
Minimize audit queries
Petty cash and imprest maintenanace
Qualification
Degree in Accounting or a closely related field
Experience
At least three years experience in enterprise resources management system
