Job summary
To implement and maintain roads safety programmes in line with mine and national standard requirements.

Minimum requirements
-Diploma in Safety and Risk Management or equivalent
-3 years post qualification experience in traffic management environment

Key Effectiveness Areas
-participates in the control of sectional costs by optimising resource utilisation in the area of work.
-Analyses national and local traffic reports to establish trends and nature of offences in order to develop training needs and training plan.
-organises awareness training and road safety campaign material in line with company and other legal requirements.
-Liaises with relevant government department and district authorities to plan and schedule safety campaigns periodically.
-schedules and arranges for periodic calibration and necessary repairs of speed monitoring equipment.
-monitors traffic violations in strategic points and patrols OLDM lease areas to control traffic related incidents
-Advises line management on specific road safety standards applicable to their areas
