Youth Minister Leads By Example

The Minister Of Youth, Sports and Culture, Thapelo Olopeng never cease to amaze. He is one of a kind, and is more engaged in that Ministry than all his predecessors. He and another Minister, Sadique Kebonang were the highlight of all the performances at the BOT50 golden music bash. The two youthful cabinet ministers got to the decks to show their newly found talent to the delight of the audience that had filled up the sports complex.

The duo did not disappoint but went all out to do what they do best on the other lighter side of their daily duties as Cabinet ministers and Members of Parliament. DJ Tipps (Olopeng) showed DJ’s who played at the show that he was a force to reckon with and gave them tips to use in their career line. DJ Sadique received an overwhelming response from the audience as he took it all out to dish songs familiar to the audience.

This festival tagged ‘ BOT50 pop up youth bash’ left a mark in the history of Botswana music circle and made it a day never to be forgotten by music lovers. It kick-started on a high note on Saturday and saw the young and the old gathering at Lobatse Sports Complex to celebrate 50 years of independence.
