Zakhem Part Ways With Gaborone United
Every thing comes to an end at some point. This has been the case as beMOBILE Premiership giants Gaborone United officially part ways with one of their influential club directors Nicholas Zakhem.Β The respected local-based businessman confirmed that he had left the club last week. ZakhemΒ has been financing GU for close to 10 years.
The Lebanese national told the media that he that he would miss Moyagolele’s passionate supporters who have always backed him.Β GU, who secured a top five finish in the beMOBILE Premiership this past campaign, failed to defend the Mascom Top 8 Cup.
Zakhem is also rumoured to be courting Gilport Lions, a team headed by long time friend Kelisitse Gilika. A number of Premier League teams are also reported to be trying to lure him to their side.
