Sad Note: Charma Girls’s Dancers Die In A Horrific Car Accident
When it comes to road accidents in Botswana, one cannot be blamed for saying it does not rain but pours. A tragic road accident near Kang village involving dancers of a popular local music artist Charma GirlΒ is reported to have claimed four lives while five other victims have been rushed to the hospital with critical injuries.
The combi was heading towards the Gaborone directionΒ along the A2 road. The seven-seater mini-bus that the crew was travelling in allegedly had a Tyre burst causing it to rear off the road.Β According to an eye-witness, the accident is so bad that the body of one of the victims got stuck on top of a nearby tree. Β Charm GirlΒ was not in the car with them. She was using a different car and they were driving just ahead of them.
TheΒ horrific accident happened in the wee hours of Sunday, 70km from Kang, when the crew was on their way back from performing at a Gantsi Agric Show. Β The deceased people are males and females aged between 24 and 39 years come from Hukuntsi, Molepolole, Mmankgodi, Francistown and the DRC.Β Two other victims men aged between 31 and 35 years of Serowe and Matshelagabedi villages respectively are hospitalized at Princess Marina Hospital under Stable condition.Β The rest of the victims were attended at Hukuntsi Primary Hospital, treated and later released.
