Flying Mission – Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Training School class of 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐 Graduation

FM–AMETS graduation convened over 30 graduates to celebrate their graduation. FM-AMETS is the only approved Training Organisation (ATO) in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and offers a two year Diploma programme in the Science of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering majoring in Airframe, Powerplant & Avionics. The school offers training that has been accredited by the Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA) and approved by the Civil Aviation Authority of Botswana (CAAB).

Speaking at the event, MYSC Gaborone District Coordinator Mr Pako Sikuku commended the graduates for a great milestone and for their determination, hardwork and focus. He acknowledged the Institution for its humble beginnings that have expanded so enormously.

Mr Sikuku challenged the institution to look at the bigger picture, to align to the President’s agenda being Mindset change.

“Your drive should be to create employment and not expect anyone to hire you, implement your skills, build those aircraft engines ,” he said adding calling for a paradigm shift that the graduates must not confine themselves locally only but must spread their wings and reach for opportunities beyond boarders.

Mr Sikuku explained that the ministry is charged with the responsibility to champion youth development, “So we are saying we want to do business with you as young graduates, our doors are open, come up with innovative ideas in any area that you want to realize your dream and come let’s see how we can assist each other.”

He shared that the Ministry offers grants, and implored parents to be supportive if the young people choose entrepreneurship over being employees, appealed for their consideration and to allow the youth to get their peice of cake in the Value CHAIN,

He concluded that since the institution’s driving force is passion, love, integrity, excellence, hardwork and Christian values the graduates must go out there and exceptionally represent the school, showcasing it’s formidable influence and standing.
