GOVERNMENT TO REQUEST FOR SIX MONTHS STATE OF EMERGENCY

As President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi addresses the National Assembly today on COVID19, we reflect on meeting he held with opposition party leaders on Monday.

“The chief reason for this meeting is our compulsion and determination to grow, deepen and make a permanent part of our political culture the need to consult. Consult has different meanings, but the exchange of information is an aspect of consultation. We will be brutally honest with one another and express our commitment to you and promise to you as the leaders of the various parties that it is our intention to manage this problem and succeed.”
