Black Coffee In Botswana

Over the last two decades, DJ and producer Black Coffee has fully established his presence as one of the most prominent names in electronic music and has continuously shattered boundaries across the board β€” most notably following a remix for the inimitable Alicia Keys, a collaboration with international superstar, Drake and the recent release of his 6th studio LP “Subconsciously” featuring the likes of Pharrell Williams, Diplo, RyX, Usher, David Guetta and more.

In just a matter of years, Black Coffee has become one of the top touring performers in the world. He has even headlined and assumed residency in global dance music hot-spots such as Ibiza, Mykonos and Las Vegas on top of endless stops, while also maintaining an impressive tour schedule of over 150 shows per year.

South Africa-born Nkosinathi Maphumulo made his debut in 2005, reinterpreting “Stimela” by Hugh Massekela, followed by several magnificent LPs and the creation of his Soulistic Music label. Since his early years he has stood out for his deep-rooted knowledge of the music and natural ability to blend house with soul, alternative African percussions, organic sounding electronics, jazz elements and vocals.

The music of Africa, in all its wide-spanning and complex history, finds its roots in drums. Keeping this in mind, it’s no surprise that percussion drives the South African artist’s sound, a distinctly metropolitan techno with heavy traditional influences dubbed by some as β€œAfropolitan house.”

The grammy award winner is set to be headliner at what is anticipated to be the biggest show this year in Botswana at Royal Aria Stadium on the 12th November 2022. The music genius will perform alongside 16 other acts such as Euphonik, Dj Fresh, PH, Bekzin Terris, Dj Kent, Mpho Sebina, HanC, Benny T, Dato Seiko, Casper The Dj, Romeo and many others.
