Vice President Mr Slumber Tsogwane has commended Lucara Botswana for their continued efforts to rural development.

Speaking earlier today during the handing over ceremony of a Hardware Store to Mmadikola Multi-Purpose Coperative Society, Vice President Tsogwane said the hardware will help improve the livelihoods of Mmadikola residents.
He revealed that such initiative was a step in the right direction towards economic diversification and job creation in the village.
Vice President Tsogwane further implored Mmadikola residents to run the hardware differently and effectively to create more jobs and improve their lives.

For his part Lucara Botswana General Manager Mr Johane Mchive noted that the company resolved to help government in the mission to attain the sustainable development goals adding that Lucara Botswana was involved in a number of projects in different villages to help Batswana.
He revealed that the company sponsored the hardware store with P600 000 including stock adding that they engaged Local Enterprise Authority (LEA) to equip the community with skills to run the store profitably.

Meanwhile, Mmadikola Multi-Purpose Coperative Society Board Chairman Mr Keoagile Sebako noted that they will work hard to grow the business that has employed five employees.

He appealed to Mmadikola residents to apply for membership in large numbers.
