Ambassador Moorad was appointed as the first Resident Ambassador of Botswana to France by His Excellency Dr. Mokgweetsi E. K. Having worked in the Ministry of International Affairs and Cooperation (then Ministry of Foreign Affairs) as Deputy Director, International Relations in 1988, and served in various capacities within the professional ranks of the Ministry, at both Headquarters and its Diplomatic Missions abroad, His Excellency Mr. Moorad boasts over 30 years of senior level experience in a range of fields focusing on democracy, governance and multilateral diplomacy issues.
He has served as Counsellor in the Botswana Embassy and Mission to the European Union, which was accredited to European Union, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, Germany and Italy. He also served as Botswana’s Permanent Representative to the African Union and Ambassador to Ethiopia from 2000 to 2005 and became Deputy Permanent Secretary in the then Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in 2005.

As he continues to promote Botswana’s interests in France, also strengthening the bilateral relations between Botswana and France, Ambassador Moorad and his staff at the Embassy located in Boulogne-Billancourt, remain ready to serve Batswana living in and visiting France.
