Public Officer’s Welfare Key

Minister for State President Hon Kabo Morwaeng says government cares about the welfare of public officers as they deliver services to the public.

Speaking at a meet and greet session with teachers and health officers in the Molepolole South Constituency yesterday, Morwaeng said government values the work of public officers and wish that they continue to grow together for the benefit of Batswana.

Minister Morwaeng expressed knowledge of some of the challenges the different cadres encounter bordering on their terms and conditions of service, citing that relevant structures of government will continue to dialogue on them. He further commended the cordial relations that prevails between trade unions and government as attested by the recent successful salary negotiations.

Minister Morwaeng implored the officers to familiarize themselves with the reset agenda, public service charter and ten point agenda among others.

Hon Morwaeng also urged the officers to embrace the recent government rationalization to collectively improve government performance. He said government decided to rationalize Ministries in order to bring similar functions together for cost effectiveness, quality service and avoidance of duplication of resources.
