BOSASNet is looking for a qualified Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

BOSASNet is looking for a qualified Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to oversee the organisation’s projects. The incumbent will be responsible for improving the organisation’s monitoring and evaluation system.

Key Result Areas

The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will have the following duties and responsibilities:

β€’Assists with the development of M&E systems for the coordinated design, planning, management and monitoring of programmes/projects within identified priority areas

β€’Contributes to the development and implementation of BOSASNet performance monitoring and evaluation strategies.

β€’Collects, compiles and analyses data from reports submitted by BOSASNet field sites offices and prepares consolidated progress reports.

β€’Reviews M&E findings and best practices and disseminates information to stakeholders to facilitate evidence-based planning, learning and informed decision-making.

β€’Assists with the design, facilitation and coordination of recommended M&E capacity building initiatives, such as workshops and training programmes for relevant stakeholders, in order to facilitate a culture of results-based management.

Job Requirements and Experience

β€’Bachelor’s Degree in project management, formal training on Monitoring and Evaluation will be an added advantage.

β€’Minimum of 2 years’ work experience as an M&E officer.

β€’Experience of working in a NGO environment will be an added advantage.

β€’Considerable knowledge of principles, techniques and methodologies used in the monitoring and evaluation of programmes and projects.

β€’Considerable knowledge of Logic Models/Results Chains and results-based planning.

β€’Knowledge of management principles and practices.

β€’Knowledge of governance theories and practices, including methods of implementation.
