Botswana Soldiers In Mozambique To Receive Christmas Hampers

Minister of Defence and Security Mr Kagiso Mmusi is expected to hand over Christmas hampers to Botswana Defence Force troops deployed to SADC Mission in Mozambique (SAMIM) in Cabo Delgado Province on Tuesday. Botswana joined hands with other SADC member states to deploy troops to the area as a regional response to support Mozambique to combat terrorism and acts of violent extremism.

According to SADC, SAMIM troops, made up of soldiers from the eight member states, continue to make strides in recapturing villages, dislodging terrorists from their bases and seizing weapons and warfare material.
