1.Manager Certification Services-Re-advertisement :Vacancy No. 18/2015/2016

Job Summary and Requirements:
To plan, initiate, develop, coordinate certification activities and manage the product inspections, management systems auditors and a team of certification officers to promote the implementation of adopted standards and quality assurance practices and procedures to enhance the delivery of quality goods and services in Botswana.
The successful candidate should have at least a degree in engineering or natural sciences and a valid driving licence and at least five years post qualification experience in certification processes and procedures of which at least three years should have been at senior/supervisory level. Recognised expertise in a particular industrial, commercial or environmental sector is a must. Engineering applicants must be registered with Engineers Registration Board (ERB).
This position is offered on a five (5) year fixed term contract.

2.Principal Scientist-Testing (Microbiology): Vacancy No. 19/2015/2016

Job Summary
The successful candidate will be expected to promote the adoption of standards and quality assurance policies and practices within a sector to enhance the delivery of, and public awareness of their rights to quality goods and services and provide technical services within a specialized testing area (Microbiology).
Job Requirements
A degree in Microbiology and a valid driving licence as well as at least four years practical experience in the development and/or implementation of standards. Specialised postgraduate training in standards research and development or implementation would be an added advantage.

3. Senior Scientist Testing (Microbiology): Vacancy No. 20/2014/2015

Job Summary and Requirements
The successful candidate will be expected to promote the adoption of standards and quality assurance policies and practices within a sector to enhance the delivery of, and public awareness of their rights to, quality goods and services and provide technical services within a specialised quality assurance area (Microbiology Proficiency Testing (PT) Schemes).
The successful candidate will have a degree in Microbiology or equivalent, sspecialised postgraduate
training in standards research and development and/or implementation of standards, at least three (3)
years experience in Microbiological Testing as well as a valid driving licence. . Implementing a PT
Scheme or producing PT samples and the development and/or implementation of standards would be
an added advantage.

4. Public Relations Officer: Vacancy No. 21/2014/2015

Job Summary and Requirements
The successful candidate will be expected to pro-actively promote awareness and positive image of
Botswana Bureau of Standards as well as the aims, objectives and activities of the organisation.
The successful candidate will have a degree in Public Relations or related area and a minimum of
three (3) years experience.in public relations.
