TSOGWANE COMMENDS MOGAE
Vice President Slumber Tsogwane has commended former President Festus Mogae for his selflessness in his service to Batswana during difficult times.
VP Tsogwane said, Former President Mogae, served Batswana tirelessly during the HIV/AIDS pandemic, and it is gratifying that even in the face of Covid-19 he has stepped in to assist the nation.
Former President Mogae and Barbra Mogae, this morning donated P100 000 to the covid-19 relief fund.
The Vice President received donations worth over P964 000, from different organizations and individuals to help government combat Covid-19.
He said the money donated will be used to buy medical equipment that will be used to fight Covid-19.
Today’s donors included the Ghana Community in Botswana who contributed P100 000, Botswana Tribal Association P10 000, Botswana Democratic Party Womenβs Wing P153 000, Mazars Audit firm P201 000, Former MPs Association P30 000, Awil College P20 000 and television content worth P1.6 million,
Kerala Semajam Botswana P 250 000 and
Old Apostolic Church who donated Personal Protective Equipment worth P100 220 00
VP Tsogwane applauded Batswana for respecting health protocols put in place such as regular washing of hands, putting of face masks and social distancing.
