Botswana Courts Big HI Tech Companies

Botswana hosted an event at the ongoing #COP27 themed “Overcoming the Climate crisis in Africa through Mitigation and Adaptation technologies.”

The event was followed by a roundtable discussion with President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi as the host and Their Excellencies, President Emmerson Mnangangwa of Zimbabwe and President Alar Karis of Estonia as well as the UN Under-Secretary-General Ms Inger Andersen who is also the Director of the UN Environment Programme.

Also participating were data technology companies Volvo, Google, Schneider, International copper alliance, Phillips as well as a group of NGOs who were weighing in on their contribution to overcoming climate crisis in the world and interest in partnering with Botswana in adaptation technologies.
