One of Hollywood’s highest profile marriages is over, as Angelina files for divorce from her husband of 2 years Brad Pitt.Β According to the website TMZ.com, which first reported the story, the actor and director cited irreconcilable differences as the cause for the split. The couple have been together since 2005 and married in 2014.
Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce from husband Brad Pitt, citing irreconcilable differences.Β According to the court documents, the pair separated on September 15, two years and one month after they married in August 2014.Β It was Pitt’s second marriage, having previously wed Friends star Jennifer Aniston, and Jolie’s third after actors Billy Bob Thornton and Jonny Lee Miller.
Jolie is seeking physical custody of their six children and asking the court to grant Pitt visitation.
They originally met on the set of the action comedy Mr and Mrs Smith and were also seen on screen together in 2015βs By the Sea, a drama about an ailing marriage, written and directed by Jolie
