BITC IN COLLABORATION WITH BOTSWANA HIGH COMMISSION TO SOUTH AFRICA PARTICIPATE IN THE BRICS BUSINESS COUNCIL EXHIBITIONΒ
Botswana Investment and Trade Centre (BITC) in collaboration with the Botswana High Commission to South Africa are currently representing the Republic of Botswana at the ongoing exhibition held at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, South Africa from 19th-23rd August 2023. This Expo is held on the sidelines of the BRICS Business Council Forum.
The objectives of this participation are to;
– Promote Botswana export products,
– Attract Investment into Botswana,
– Market the upcoming Global Expo Botswana 2023.
This complimentary Expo is a great platform to establish business contacts and market linkages. It allows for business-to-business connections and information sharing aimed at breaking trade imbalances between Africa and the rest of the world.
Some of the dignitaries who visited the Botswana Stall included the South African Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition, Honourable Ebrahim Patel, Kenyan High Commissioner in South Africa, H.E. Catherine Muigai Mwangi, Zambia Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry Mr. John A. Mulongoti and Zambia Deputy Secretary to the Cabinet (Finance and Economic Development) in the Office of the President, Siazongo D. Siakalenge. BITC is represented by Mr. Omphitlhetse Bobo Senosi, Director, International Business, BITC South Africa Office and Ms. Itumeleng Teseletso, Manager, Export Promotion.
