As part of its Board strategy retreat to the SPEDU region, BITC’s Board and Management undertook an appreciation visit to Lotsane to assess the impact of strategic projects facilitated by the institution. This on‑site review underscored BITC’s commitment to not only attracting high‑value projects but also ensuring they deliver lasting economic and social benefits for Botswana’s communities.
Facilitated by BITC and SPEDU, the Lotsane Limpopo Luxury River Lodge exemplifies sustainable, high‑impact tourism development. Graded five star by the Botswana Tourism Organisation and set along the seasonal Lotsane River—a tributary of the mighty Limpopo—the lodge offers an exclusive escape into Botswana’s pristine wilderness. Its design minimises environmental footprint through solar‑powered utilities, water‑wise landscaping and locally sourced building materials.
Guests enjoy immersive wildlife experiences framed by a vibrant ecosystem of sable antelope, giraffe and zebra.
