Celebrating Bostwana and South Africa’s 28th anniversary of bilateral relations through fashion

The two neighboring countries, Botswana and South Africa have commemorated 28 Years of the
Establishment of Diplomatic Relations through the silent communication- fashion at Three Dikgosi in Gaborone Monument this past Saturday. The event was themed, β€œ28 Years of Tirisanyo Mmogo” highlighting the strong family, political, social and economic ties, which citizens of both countries continue to enjoy since 1994.
Through this fashion show, the stunning designs of Batswana and South Africans were showcased and the audience was mesmerized. Les Wears, Fabro Sanz and Black Trash were some of the local designs that showcased their fashion tenacity and diversity of African fashion designs.

The fashion show was a basis for local designers to the international community exposure. The classic event of glamour and style intended to network and unlock opportunities for designers which may result in significant job creation, while also driving the much-needed export diversification to support His Excellency Dr Mokgweetsi Eric Keabetswe Masisi’s aspirations of an export-led economy.
