Botswana is hosting the 25th African Regional Commission from 20th-24th February 2023 in Gaborone and His Excellency Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi will this morning officially open the Conference. 54 member states, WOAH collaborating partners and animal experts from all over the world are in attendance.

The World Organisation for Animal Health is an intergovernmental organization that sets standards for Animal Health, Animal Welfare and Veterinary Public Health.

Hosting the conference as a Country will presents an opportunity for the country’s animal expects to establish collaborations and connections with international experts. Botswana will also get to share her experiences in the livestock sector especially beef production and control animal diseases.

The official opening will be live on BWgoverment, Ministry of Agriculture Facebook pages, BTV news, BTV2 and Radio Botswana.
