Cook x 2 Wanted at North End Filling Station
AR Holdings T/A North EndΒ Filling Station is inviting applicants from qualified personnel in the field of cook. The successful incumbent will be deployed to prepare grilled food in accordance to the instructions and recipes provided to them.
Main Duties Include
β’Take grilled food orders from runners.
.Season and prepare food items for grilling.
β’Grill requested food items in accordance to customersβ specifications and present recipes.
β’Manage portions of grilled food items and garnish them.
β’Regulate temperature of broilers, grills and roasters.
β’Wash, cut and peel meats and vegetables prior to preparing them for cooking.
β’Maintain work area by cleaning and sanitizing constantly.
β’Ensure preventative and general maintenance of grilling equipment.
β’Make sure that food items are appropriately thawed before using.
β’To follow the proper procedures to ensure that all items are appropriately cleaned and in a timely manner.
β’Replacing cleaned and dry utensils in their designated areas at all times
β’Keeping an inventory of all crockery in the shop and reporting all breakages to the Kitchen Coordinator
β’Assisting in the training and development of new staff from time to time
β’Performing other duties as required
Minimum Requirements
β’Completed Junior Certificate level
β’Good interpersonal and communication skills
β’Cooperation and team spirit
β’Must be able to safely use food service equipment such as grills, fryers, stoves, knives, slicers, blenders, choppers and ovens.
β’A grill cook must understand the grill area layout, how to cook using prescribed portions, grilling procedures, and presentation requirements (1 year experience)
