Former Miss Millennium Beauty Queen To Be Laid To Rest Tomorrow.
On a sad note, the organizers of the annual Miss Millennium beauty pageant early this week informed the friends and well wishers of the death of Michel Tjienda, a former Miss Millennium beauty queen who participated in 2013.
Michel passed away on Wednesday 14th September 2016, at Mahalapye Hospital. Her remains will be interred at her home village of Mahalapye, Herero ward on Saturday 24th 2016. The public is therefore encouraged to join her family and friends inΒ bidding farewell to this wonderful soul.
Β Ironically, Tjienda never intended to contest for the Miss Millennium pageant. She entered for the first time and won after one of the former Miss Millennium queens encouraged her to compete.Β She only went for rehearsals on the last week before the grand finale.Not being a beauty pageant veteran, she never expected to win and it was a big surprise when she was crowned queen.
