GOVERNMENT DETERMINED TO END WATER SHORTAGE

His Honour the Vice President Mr Slumber Tsogwane says government is determined to end shortage of water across the country.

Vice President Tsogwane who is also Member of Parliament for Boteti West, said this when addressing a Kgotla meeting in Toromoja and Kedia yesterday.

The Vice President said water is an important commodity and a basic need that has to be availed to all villages. He said to achieve this, government continues to undertake various water projects across the country.

Vice President Tsogwane told residents that the long standing water shortage in Boteti will soon be a thing of the past.

This has been confirmed by Mr Monametsi Ramosu from Water Utilities Corporation. Ramosu revealed that the Boteti Southern Cluster Village Water Project is commencing this month.

He said the contractor is already on site and is mobilising to kick start the project which is expected to take one and half years to complete.

Upon completion, the project will provide fresh water to villages like Mokoboxane, Kedia, Toromoja, Xhumo, Rakops and Xere.
