His Honour Mr. Slumber Tsogwane Acting President of the Republic of Botswana to attend the attend the Inauguration Ceremony

GABORONE, 14th September 2022: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to inform the public that His Honour Mr. Slumber Tsogwane, Acting President of the Republic of Botswana, will on 14th September 2022, travel to Luanda, Angola to attend the Inauguration Ceremony of His Excellency Mr. João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, President-Elect of the Republic of Angola.

The Inauguration Ceremony will take place on 15th September 2022 in Luanda. His Excellency President-Elect Lourenço, was re-elected as President of Angola on 24th August 2022.

The Acting President will be accompanied by Senior Government Officials and will return to Gaborone on 16th September 2022.

While His Honour Mr. Tsogwane is in Angola, Honourable Dr. Kefentse Mzwinila, Minister of Lands and Water Affairs, will serve as the Acting President of the Republic of Botswana.
