Lilian Andries, 30, from Ramotswa, was crowned Miss Universe Botswana 2025 over the weekend. She will represent Botswana at the Miss Universe pageant set for November in Thailand.

The national contest concluded with Dabilo Moses of Maitengwe taking the position of first princess and Wangu Modise of Sebina finishing as second princess. The competition brought together young women from across the country, each showcasing beauty, talent, and purpose-driven ambitions.

As the new titleholder, Andries takes on an ambassadorial role for the Sunbet Brand. She will also enjoy complimentary accommodation at all Sun International hotels in South Africa during her reign. This package reflects the growing support for pageantry in Botswana and the recognition of the global platforms it offers to contestants.

Her first princess, Moses, received two accommodation packages at Sun International hotels of her choice in South Africa. Modise, the second princess, won a single hotel stay at any Sun International property in South Africa.

The victory marks a significant moment for Andries and Botswana’s pageant industry. She now carries the responsibility of preparing to compete on one of the world’s biggest stages. The Miss Universe competition in Thailand will put her alongside representatives from over 80 countries, offering a chance to showcase Botswana’s culture and values to an international audience.

Andries’ win is expected to inspire more young women in Botswana to pursue opportunities in pageantry and other platforms that amplify their voices. Her journey toward Miss Universe 2025 will be closely followed, as she takes on the challenge of representing her country at a global level.
