Malia Obama Is Acting As The President’s Translator In Cuba
We’ve watched Malia become a young woman, it’s been a quick eight years. The first family is currently in Cuba, where President Obama is making history as the first president to visit the country in over eight decades. And to make it even cooler, his first born daughter Malia was doing some unofficial translation for him.
In between cathedral visits and various tours, the President has met with everyone from regular folks to the country’s leader, Raul Castro, and in a recent photo posted by Pete Souza, the Chief Official White House photographer, Obama and Malia are seen having a laugh with a chef in Havana.
The President and Malia share a laugh as Malia translates Spanish to English for her dad at a restaurant in Old Havana.Β Walking around Cuba, meeting cool people and translating for your dad? Not a bad gig for a high school student.
