The Miss Universe Botswana 2025 finalists left for South Africa yesterday for an intensive boot camp experience designed to prepare them for the global stage. The delegation, full of excitement and hope, was given a warm and inspiring send-off that highlighted the importance of leadership, dignity, and national pride.

The finalists will tour key South African cities including Sun City, Pretoria, and Johannesburg. Over the coming days, they will take part in a range of activities that focus not just on pageantry, but also on trade, diplomacy, and cultural exchange. This is part of their broader preparation for the prestigious Miss Universe stage set to take place later this year in Thailand.

Speaking at the send-off event, the High Commissioner of South Africa to Botswana, Ms. Thaninga Shope-Soumah, delivered a powerful message of empowerment. She encouraged the finalists to embrace their roles as ambassadors for Botswana.

“Use your voice to stand against gender-based violence. Stay informed, be confident, and represent Botswana with purpose,” Shope-Soumah urged. She further emphasized that the journey ahead was about more than beauty—it was about making a difference, showing leadership, and carrying the nation’s dignity with pride.

The boot camp will expose the contestants to real-world experiences in diplomacy and international relations. Workshops, mentorship sessions, and cultural immersion activities will help broaden their perspectives as they prepare to engage with contestants from across the world in Thailand.

As the Miss Universe Botswana journey continues, expectations are high that this year’s representative will carry the Botswana flag with pride, grace, and strength on the global stage.
