Motsetserepa Hits a million YouTube views

Bofelo William Molebatsi, popularly known by his followers as ‘Motsetserepa’, ‘Mawila’ or ‘William Last KRM’ is both a comedian and a singer/rapper. The artist was born in Gaborone and is currently is his 20’s. Despite his age and the fact that he recently started both his comedy and music career Motsetserepa is already making headlines.


Roughly a year into the comedy industry, Motsetserepa has already made his mark, currently he has over six hundred thousand Facebook followers, over forty thousand on Twitter, and over one hundred and twenty-five thousand YouTube subscribers. William has been a comedy sensation ever since his first video upload on Facebook, he keeps his fans enticed by his ability to make comedy out of real life situations and current affairs; hence he never runs out of content, maintaining consistency which is key to creative artsindustry. It was not long until he got a tag by an international RnB star Chris Brown after humorously singing his song ‘Don’t wake me up’.


Striking the iron while still hot, Motsetserepa released a fourteen-song album called Willian late last year which saw his hit track in the album ‘Tinto’ reach 1 million views in roughly one month, the song is currently at 1.2 million views, making him the first rap artist in Botswana to reach that milestone. Continuing with wonders; the song gave him recognition and appreciation from MC Hammer- an international renowned rapper, moreover its video has been given the title ‘Best Video of 2020’ by Black Twitter.

Ndoda, one of the songs from his album featuring one of the best duets in the countryKhoisan is also making the rounds as one of the best songs and one of the most played in the radio stations. Meanwhile, Motsetserepa has since got the attention and the interest from top record labels such as Ambitiouz Entertainment and Kalawa Jazmee.
