Last night Botswana was once again on the spotlight when President Mokgweetsi E. K. Masisi received the Africa-America Institute’s National Achievement Award(AII) on behalf of the country in New York.
Botswana was chosen for this award in recognition of her commitment to democracy and stability in the region as well as her focus on addressing the importance of education, healthcare and youth development.
President Masisi said , “Once again thank you to everyone who continues to make our country a better place to live in. Thank you to all who have made it their mission to defend and nurture our democracy. “
