The beat is back, and it’s louder than ever. Red Bull Dance Your Style makes its highly anticipated return to Botswana, bringing the heat, the hype, and a celebration of raw, unfiltered dance talent to Molapo Crossing Piazza for the national finals on Saturday, 16 August 2025.
Now in its second year, the street dance showdown is once again ditching the judges and handing all the power to the crowd. With unpredictable beats and unmatched energy, this is freestyle at its purest — where every move counts, and the vibe of the audience decides who reigns supreme.
This Year’s Build-Up: A Dance-Driven Week Across Botswana
Leading up to the finale, Red Bull is hitting the streets with a week-long campaign of workshops, qualifiers, and open sessions across the country — designed to unearth and uplift local dancers from all corners of Botswana.

- 9 August (Afternoon): Dance Studio Takeover – Free workshop at Jacks Gym iTowers | 1PM–4PM
- 9 August (Evening): Public Qualifier #2 – Dance battles at Mafitlhakgosi Restaurant, Zola (Old Naledi) | 4:30PM–7PM
- 16 August: National Final – Molapo Crossing Piazza, where one dancer will earn the crown and the chance to represent Botswana on the world stage in Los Angeles this October.
From Old Naledi to the World
No one knows the power of this platform better than Yarona Tumelo, the 2024 winner of Botswana’s debut edition. Reflecting on her rise, she said:

What sets Red Bull Dance Your Style apart is its unpredictable format. There’s no panel of judges — just the crowd and the DJ. Dancers hit the floor not knowing what song will drop next — amapiano, hip hop, gqom, or something totally unexpected. The challenge? Adapt in real-time and own the beat. The audience then votes to decide who wins each round.
It’s not just a battle — it’s a celebration of street culture, musicality, and pure performance. From poppers and krumpers to pantsula heads and freestyle innovators, this is where Botswana’s finest come to make their mark.
