Botswana’s motorbike star Ross Branch, famously dubbed the ‘Ferrari of the Kalahari’, delivered a performance that left his nation beaming with pride at the 2026 FIA/FIM World Dakar Rally-Raid Championship. The rally concluded along the shores of the Red Sea in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday, where Ross finished an impressive 8th overall.

Riding for the Hero Motorsport Team Rally, Ross demonstrated a blend of skill, courage, and determination across the rally’s 13 grueling stages. Covering approximately 8,000 kilometers, the Dakar Rally challenged participants with harsh desert terrain, extreme temperatures, and unpredictable obstacles.
