Botswana’s rally star Ross Branch is set to make an impact off the track as well, with his Dakar Rally outfit being auctioned to support children’s education in the country. The announcement comes from his manager and wife, Aimee Branch, highlighting the unique significance of the project.
Aimee Branch explained that the decision to auction the suit stems from a desire to give back. “Ross and I decided to auction the suit at the end of the Dakar Rally 2026 because we felt its true value lies in giving back. Proceeds from the auction will go toward supporting children’s education in Botswana,” she said.
The rally suit is more than just protective gear. Its design is one-of-a-kind, created as a visual collage using drawings submitted by children from schools and playgroups across Botswana. Each illustration reflects a child’s interpretation of the theme “What Botswana means to You,” capturing elements of home, culture, wildlife, and dreams.
“Each drawing represents a child’s view of home, culture, wildlife, and dreams. Together, they form a deeply personal artwork that Ross will carry with him during Dakar,” Aimee added. The suit’s unique design makes it a meaningful piece of memorabilia, symbolizing the connection between sport, community, and national pride.
