Mariah Carey, Lacey Chabert, Brennan Elliott, Kathy Najimy and 10-year-old Broadway sensation Fina Strazza star in "A Christmas Melody," directed by Mariah Carey: "A Christmas Melody" revolves around Kristin (Chabert), a beautiful, stylish divorcee who is a talented clothing designer and her young daughter. Kristin has just had to close her small Manhattan boutique to return to her Ohio home town and live in her parents' former home. It's an adjustment for Kristin and Emily - especially when she runs into her former high school rival Melissa (Carey). Melissa is president of the PTA and tries to make Kristen feel as unwelcome as possible. Kristen and Emily struggle to find their new normal with the help of the hunky local music teacher Danny (Elliott) and Kristin's Aunt Sarah (Najimy), the local coffee shop owner. Once a diva, always a diva. This seems to be the case with Mariah, who arrived in the Mother City on Monday afternoon. She is reportedly demanding that Table Mountain changes colour to purple during her performance.ย She apparently mentioned that it would be nice if the lights were turned to purple in memory of Prince.
It seems that the request is a far-fetched one, because, the usage of the floodlights is subject to strict policy and are only switched on after an application has been submitted and approved by the city council.
The Sweet Sweet Fantasy Tour will be in Cape Town tonight at the Cape Town Stadium (intimate configuration), in Durban on 29 April 2016 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium and in Johannesburg, at the Ticketpro Dome on Sunday 1 and 2 May 2016.
