Seneo Doing Well In The Multimedia Award Leader Board-Miss World!
Although she has dropped from position 10 to 14, our queen Seneo is still doing us proud and we are hoping she will improve her position. She is number 2 in Africa, after Miss South Sudan who is in position 8. New Zealand still has the most donations so she tops the current leader board which you can all see live on the Alipay app! Singapore takes second place, with Philippines in third!
The contestants have all been given special accounts linked to their phones.Β The contestants have been encouraged to film interesting, exciting and engaging content to showcase their experience at Miss World 2015. Until the 15th of December, They will each be filming short 6 second videos on their mobile phones, documenting their time in Sanya. These videos will join together to create one continuous film, which can be viewed on the Alipay app by the entire world.
Users are then encouraged to donate a small amount of money when they see a video that they particularly enjoy. Every time a video receives a donation the contestant who uploaded the video receives +1 points. The more points a contestant gets, the better score they receive for the Multimedia Award!
Alipay.com, a major Chinese online payment platform available worldwide, have teamed up with Miss World to make this project happen. Part of the Alibaba Group, Alipay is a digital wallet that shoppers use to buy products online, on their phones, and even in-stores.
Seneo is currently ranked 18th out of 117 contestant in the online voting. Lets all rally behind Miss Botswana.
