Status Hand Over to Gaborone City Mayor- GIM

The Gaborone International Meet (GIM) Local Organizing Committee (LOC) holds a Press Conference for the Status hand over to the Gaborone City Mayor, His Worship Austin Abraham. The event was held today, 14 February 2023, at the National Stadium.

Botswana will host the first Botswana Golden Grand Prix for the next 3 years (2023-2025). The 2023 Gaborone International Meet (GIM) has been upgraded by the World Athletics to become a World Athletics Continental Tour (Gold) for gold track and field competition. This Mega sporting event will be held on the 29th of April 2023 at the National Stadium.
