πŒπ˜π’π‚ Welcomes Rasta, the artist

Lebani Sirenje, famously known by his acolytes as Rasta the artist, paid a courtesy call to the Ministry of Youth, Gender, Sport and Culture.

The South African artist and his team met with the Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy Development & Research) Mr. Imon Bogosi in the Ministry accompanied by the Acting Director from Arts & Culture Ms Nakiso Kubanji for a brief meet and greet session.

The Deputy Permanent Secretary and Acting Director agreed that indeed arts has potential to be a major contributor in the country’s GDP if utilized maximally. Referencing on the concept of collaboration, the director alluded that MYSC has collaborated with South Africa to bring forth initiatives intended to grow the industry.

Rasta was then commended for using his work as a tool to inspire and aspire other artists to realize the power that the creative industry has in unlocking a chain of hidden talents amongst talented craftsmen in Southern Africa and also creating employment.
