Vice President Tsogwane Commends KBL

His Honour the Vice President Mr Slumber Tsogwane has commended Kalahari Breweries Limited (KBL) for its resilience to remain operational even during trying times.

Speaking at the launch of KBL’s campaign against Illicit Alcohol in Rakops yesterday, Vice President Tsogwane said KBL is one of the country’s good economic contributors and continues to be a source of employment for many Batswana.

The Vice President took the opportunity to urge Batswana to drink responsibly at all times. He further called people to stop using alcohol as a scapegoat for doing wrong things.
“You should respect alcohol and drink responsibly. It is wrong to do bad things and then blame it on alcohol,” said Tsogwane.

Through the campaign against illicit alcohol, KBL is aiming to encourage people to always make sure what they are having is safe to drink.

KBL Coporate Communications Specialist, Bose Mphuchane said the campaign is an alcohol literacy drive.

Mphuchane said they aim to teach people to always consume safe and tested beverages at all times. She encouraged people to buy alcohol at lawfully designated points.

She added that responsible drinking is important to KBL, as the company is particular with the good health and safety of Batswana.

The company has over the years conducted similar campaigns in an effort to educate Batswana on responsible drinking.
