Medupi Drilling is a company that provides high value, cost effective drilling solutions, blasting and technical services for quarrying, mining, construction, and pipeline operations working directly with project managers and field engineers to optimize project results. We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team.
Purpose of the Role
To maintain the assets and provide equipment performance to ensure safe, sustainable production.
To coordinate and execute engineering maintenance and project activities in the designated sections.
Implementation of an asset management programme with a focus on people (building capacity and capability).
Key Job Responsibilities
Aligning performance standards and objectives to the project plan and management of equipment performance to meet set KPIs
Establish and implement Life-cycle costing and best-practice
equipment management practices
Asset Management and development plans including upgrades and enhancements
Assessing operational performance and analysing equipment performance trends
Preparation and management of department budgets
Human resource and performance management
Research and evaluate maintenance process expenditure
Attend to administrative functions of the department: ensure the availability of performance reports and statistics; ensures the risk log and scorecards are up-to-date
Ensures compliance with Health, Safety and Enviromental Standards
Education and Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
ERB Registration
Experience
5 years post qualification Maintenance Engineering Experience
2) GRADUATE TRAINEE β MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

We are looking for a suitably qualified innovative, results oriented and self-driven Trainee Maintenance Engineer to join our team.
Purpose of the Role
To develop competencies in the field of Mining to the level of a fully competent Mining engineer and assisting the Project Manager by providing technical support to the maintenance team.
Key Job Responsibilities
Get exposure on practical, hands on work experience in relevant section on rotational basis
Get an appreciation for and apply current policies and procedures in related fields
Be accorded the training to enable them to develop skills and competencies necessary to subsequently perform at a substantive level
Education
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Experience
1 years experience in Heavy Plant Maintenance will be an added advantage.

3) ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN
Purpose of the Role
This position is responsible for executing in designing, developing, repairing and maintaining electrical systems for blastholes Drills and power distribution network.
Key Job responsibilities
Responsible for maintenance of electrical systems on blastholes drills.
Supervising the repair and maintenance of electrical and electronics systems
Resolving equipment faults β trouble shooting.
Focus on maintaining high equipment reliability by using formal root cause analysis or other analytical techniques.

5 years post qualification experience
Maintenance management design or operation experience in heavy duty/mining industry or process environment and CANBUS experience
